How to use the Swedish Spike Mat for your back

Place the Spike Mat on your bed or sofa. To achieve a tougher acupressure effect, use it directly on the floor or on a massage table. Use the Swedish Spike Mat 20-40 minutes every day or whenever needed. We recommend starting with clothing or a fabric in between to find the effect most suitable for you. There is no self-purpose to use The Spike Mat directly against bare skin, but if you do not think that sufficient effect is achieved with clothing, it can safely be used against bare skin. The first 5-7 minutes you should experience “good pain”, this will later pass on to a warm relaxing feeling and a pleasant calm. There is no harm in falling asleep.

The Swedish Spike Mat is suitable for everyone, regardless of pain sensitivity or age. The height of the spikes are 15 mm, therefore the Swedish Spike Mat treats in depth. The spikes are blunt and therefore can not pierce the skin.

For increased comfort, we recommend rolling a small blanket and placing it underneath your shoulders or your lower back, wherever you need it most. This allows the mat to come in closer contact with your entire back. An additional pillow underneath your knees also increases the pressure. Try it out to find what is most suitable for you!

CLASSIC: (Hard) The original. This Spike Mat gives a strong acupressure effect and suits the more experienced user and those with a high pain threshold.

MEDIUM: (Medium Hard) This Spike Mat gives is slightly softer then the classic mat but still gives a strong acupressure effect. It is slightly flexible and therefore suitable to treat neck and shoulders. The Medium mat suits everyone. If you are unsure which one to get, we recommend the Medium mat.

FLEX: (Soft) This Spike Mat is our softest mat, giving a less strong acupressure effect. It is flexible and therefore easily follows the body contours, providing a comfortable close contact. Flex is perfect for relaxation and providing better sleep. It is also suitable for those being sensitive to pain.

COMBI: This Spike Mat contains one part of our Classic mat and one part Flex. It is suitable for those wishing to vary the acupressure effect. Flip it around depending on where you wish to have a stronger acupressure effect or softer.


 

How to use the Disc - perfect for your travels

                 

Lying down
Place the Disc under the part of your back where you are sore or tense. For the first 5-7 minutes, you should experience “good pain”, this will later pass on to a warm relaxing feeling and a pleasant calm. There is no harm in falling asleep.

We recommend starting with clothing or a piece of fabric in between to find the effect most suitable for you. There is no self-purpose to use the Spike Mat directly against bare skin, but if you do not think that sufficient effect is achieved with clothing, it can safely be used against bare skin.

Sitting Down
With the Disc placed behind your back while sitting down, you will experience a milder acupressure effect than if lying down. Disc is perfect to have on your sofa or office chair. Disc should not be used while driving, as the relaxation can make you drowsy and increases the risk of falling asleep.

How to use the Band Large

    


Tighten the black straps so that Band sits closely, without restricting blood flow. Adjust the pressure of the spikes with the use of fabric between the skin and the Band. Use Band 20-40 minutes per day or whenever needed. In the first 5-7 minutes, you should experience “good pain”, this will later pass on to a warm relaxing feeling. Band can be used while standing up, walking, sitting, or lying down. Try it out to find what is most suitable for you!


How to use the Band Small

How to use the Shoulder Spike Mat

 

                       

Working on a computer and any other work requiring static positions causes muscles to stiffen and leads to tension, aching, and restriction in moving. Use the Shoulder Spike Mat 20-40 minutes every day or whenever needed. The first 5-7 minutes you should experience “good pain”, this will later pass on to a warm relaxing feeling. Can be used with or without clothing to adjust the pressure.

Wear the Shoulder Spike Mat as a backpack and place your arms in the straps. Your arms will work as weight causing the Shoulder to press against your shoulders. By placing your arms in different positions you can vary the pressure.

Large: For shoulder width above 45 cm.
Small: For shoulder width up to 45 cm.



How to use the Foot Spike Mat

 

The middle part (darker green) of the Foot Spike Mat has elevations to reach the foot arch. The Foot Spike Mat can be used with or without socks. Sit down, in a chair or sofa, and place your feet according to any of the 3 positions shown below. In the first 5-7 minutes, you should experience “good pain”, this will later pass on to a warm relaxing feeling. To increase the stimulation you can press your feet against the mat. Use the Foot mat 20-40 minutes every day or whenever needed.

Do not stand on the Foot Spike Mat - Only to be used while seated!

The Foot Spike Mat can be used by everyone regardless of pain sensitivity. We recommend starting with socks to find the effect most suitable for you. Try it out for yourself. There is no self-purpose to use the mat directly on bare skin. The spikes are blunt and therefore can not pierce the skin.


The Spike Mat is made out of medical-grade plastic. The plastic is allergy tested and free of harmful plasticizers. Manufactured in Sweden.
